Google Home Hub review and detail
The Google Home Hub ships on October 22, and will cost $230.
Google wants its Home smart products to be very friendly and welcoming, not induce terrifying nightmares about huge corporations invading your privacy. The great thing about using any Smart Home product from Google is its versatility. This stems from the platform’s compatibility with virtually all smart devices available in the market.
Google Home is a great way to show off just how smart Google is, but it doesn’t feel like an essential experience yet. That’s mainly because it lags behind the Echo in terms of support for third-party services. The product rendering reveals how the 7-inch touchscreen will display essential information such as the time, weather, and even information related to your daily commute via Google Maps.
Such controls are not limited to security cameras and will work with other compatible home appliances such as lights, TVs and more.
The decision to not include a camera is an interesting one, especially as Google has its own video calling apps, like Duo, that would have fitted well here. And it’s not that hard to allow someone to disable a camera – a little bit of sticky tape would do the job.
